3D season is here and we’re having a 20% sale on Hunter Premiums and Hunter Selects for the month of March. Now that hunting and other outdoor activities are coming to an end, we shift focus towards the 3D critters and practice for the following year. Foam target shooting is a ton of fun for the whole family, there are 3D target events across the United States every year. A few shoots in the south east have already came and gone, Big Jim’s Bow Company carries our products and travels to many of them in his traveling trailer. The atmosphere surrounding these events is incredible. Everyone is smiling and having a great time, the “feel good” is real. We want to give some incentive to sling our premium cedar shafts so we decided to make a sale for our always reliable Hunter line of arrows. Some archers aren’t sure which spine weight they need for their bows, we offer spine kits that consists of a few different Hunter Premiums and Hunter Selects. You pick the spine weight and diameter of shaft based on our arrow spine chart matched to your draw length and poundage of bow. You’d be amazed of the consistency of matched spine weight cedar arrows, affordable quality American made products. Hope everyone finds the time to visit a local archery shoot near you and keep the tradition alive!
Rose City Archery just got back to head quarters from several different trade shows. The first on the list was the Archery Trade Association show in Indianapolis, Indiana it lasted for three days, but we usually stay for the week. It’s kind of fun, but it kind of isn’t too. It’s a lot of work putting together a 20’ X 10” booth and getting all of our products set up to show them off to their best advantage. It’s a pain in the patooti and you can’t believe what we have to go through to get it all to the show. We end up spending a week or so on deciding on what to take and where in the booth to display them. I don’t know if anyone is interested in this, but I’m telling you anyway. A lot of our customers seem to think we sit here for the entire year and answer the phone and send out stuff to you guys out there in archery land. I thought you folks might be interested in how it all happens.
Now we have to get all of this stuff to the show and then we have to put it all together and make it look pretty so that our distributors and sales folks want to get out there and sell what we have to offer; so we can eat all year and keep our employees paid. Not to mention we have to get three or four of us back to the show, airplane tickets, rooms for all of us. Food while we are there and a whole bunch of other stuff that cost money and takes time. There are a bunch of other things that take time and cost money that no one thinks of. Shipping the container with all of the stuff in it, airport parking, really expensive to leave a car or two at the airport for a week, the list goes on and on. If it wasn’t something we just had to do I wouldn’t; after a week or two or three week period you are beat to a pulp and it really takes at least another couple of weeks to recover. Plus this all comes about a couple of weeks after X-mas. I’ll quit whining and get on with it. Well, there’s always a good opportunity to get out and shoot. I like to call this post trade show therapy. With all the 3D Shoots coming up, there’s plenty of group therapy sessions to attend. Spring time…..HERE WE COME!
